Academic writing: taking the word at the threshold

   The reflections addressed in this essay come from theoretical-critical readings, experiences of writing on the threshold, the product of various instances of our formative trajectories. The theoretical guidance provided by the threshold categories, academic reading and writing, among others, is essential in this essay, since they not only influence our role as teachers but also propose orientations and positions to the lines of research of which we are currently we occupy. In relation to this, the threshold category provides us with material for the analysis of the corpus, as well as to adjust the theoretical research boundaries.
