Regarding a regional semiotics: On semiotic studies in the Literature courses at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (2000-2008)
This article traces the last stagesof the Proyecto General de Semiótica, within the framework of a doctoral research project that seeks to examine the institutionalization processes of semiotic studies within the Literature majors atthe Universidad Nacional del Litoral between 1987 and 2013. The hypothesis underpinning this work suggeststhat semiotic studies functioned as a mediating space of between its other subfields (literary and linguistic studies) through the incorporation of new research materialities such as the analysis of popular culture and discourse analysis. This article presents a series of lines that articulate the theoretical and methodological decisions of this project.
