“Something that stimulates my senses”.Generating  gastronomic experiences as atoursim incentive. The case of Posadas, Misiones as an event destination

   This paper analyzes the relevance of creatinggastronomic experiences in host destinations as a strategy to attract event attendees, focusing on the Argentine city of Posadas, Misiones. Millennial consumers are used as the unit of analysis. The aim is to identify the elements that make these experiences memorable and their influence on destination choice. The research followsan exploratory-descriptive methodology. Findings suggest that, based ondemand preferences, the city of Posadas can be considered,using Butler's concept (cited in Sánchez Valdés et al., 2017), an emerging destination in the developmentof experiences aiming at revaluing local cultural identity, which remains not yet fully defined.
